Change

Hello!

Where have I been?

I can’t believe my last post was back in April… Where has the time gone!?

I have been trying to balance a lot of things in my life. For example, 4th year of university, dealing with situations in my personal life, work, relationships… The list goes on.

I have come to the conclusion that there is a lesson to be learned from all of these experiences no matter how difficult they may be. They will adjust your ways of thinking, your attitude towards yourself and others and can even impact your whole outlook on life. This can be positive or negative and can be an extremely confusing and difficult time. I believe I have changed as a person… my views and opinions have changed on certain things and I feel as though my eyes have been opened to new situations I have never experienced first hand before. I have also had to learn the importance of putting your own happiness first and doing what you feel is right for you.

I began to struggle writing blogs as I’m a very private person and felt as though I was sharing too much. Allowing people from all over the world to know about my flaws and struggles with my skin and overall health is a scary thing. But then I said to myself ‘this is my blog and there is no expectation or guidelines I have to follow… I can write about whatever I want!’. So here I am, writing whatever comes to mind.
The amazing comments people have left really encouraged me to start writing again! I have an Instagram account that I update often with whatever I’m feeling. I also included tips and tricks I use. Health update

Over the summer, I really have tried to focus on taking care of myself more. Starting with simple things such as, cooking homemade meals (I love to cook and bake), taking time out to ask people how their day was, go to the gym and play netball, listen to my body, talk about my thoughts instead of holding them in and aiming to be a more positive person.

You have to remember to take care of both your physical and mental health. Overall, optimum health cannot be maintained and achieved if one of them is declining.

On a positive note, on the 2nd August 2018, I was officially discharged from dermatology! With the aid of antihistamines and ointments I am able to manage my skin conditions myself. If you do not know about my personal experience living and managing my skin conditions please check out my other posts:

I am also steroid free- which I am so happy about! I still have to follow a strict regime to maintain healthy and moisturised skin. This is still difficult as I want to use things such as lush bath bombs and fragranced body butters, but cant due to Living paraben and linalool free. However, it has become a lot easier and a part of my normal routine! This just proves that through trial and error you can live normally and manage eczema, allergies and urticaria.

Hope you are all well. Sending positive vibes!

Love from Lauren
